Entirely redesigned from A to Z, the new 2020 Toyota Highlander was one of the most anticipated models of the New York Auto Show and it quickly became the star of the show. More spacious, more fuel-efficient and equipped with more advanced technologies, the new 2020 Toyota Highlander is even better suited to your family's needs.
A new hybrid version with vastly improved fuel economy
The 2020 Toyota Highlander will be built on Toyota's new TNGA-K platform, which provides more dynamic and sporty handling while ensuring top-notch comfort. It will be offered in 7 or 8 passenger configurations and will offer new connectivity technologies like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard on all versions.
More spacious at every level, the 2020 Toyota Highlander offers a brand-new interior with a central 12.3-inch screen, the largest in the three-row mid-size SUV segment. Already the most popular three-seat SUV in its class, the 2020 Toyota Highlander promises to be even more appealing to Canadian consumers. It will also come with the Toyota Safety Sense P safety technology suite which includes:
- Precollision system with pedestrian detection function;
- Radar dynamic cruise control with full speed range;
- lane departure warning system with steering assist
The engines of the 2019 Toyota Highlander have also been significantly improved. It comes standard with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s more powerful, but it can also be equipped with a brand-new hybrid engine whose average fuel consumption rating is announced at only 6.9 liters per 100 kilometers. For a sport utility vehicle with three rows of seats, that’s quite impressive thank you very much. Three all-wheel drive systems will be available including one that will deactivate the rear axle for reduced fuel consumption.
